What’s in a Wedding Suite
A complete wedding invitation suite is more than one card. Here are the pieces that go into most suites — you can order all of them or just what you need.
- Save the Dates
Mailed 6–12 months before the wedding. Typically a simple card with names, date, and city — no venue details required. Matches the invitation suite design so guests get a consistent first impression.
- Invitation Card
The main piece. Carries the formal wording, ceremony venue and time, and dress code if applicable. Printed on premium cardstock — flat print, foil accent, or textured stock depending on your style.
- RSVP Cards & Envelopes
Response cards with your RSVP deadline and meal preference lines if needed. Printed with a pre-addressed return envelope to make it easy for guests to respond — which means you actually hear back.
- Details Cards
A smaller insert card covering hotel blocks, shuttle information, dress code, or directions to the venue. Keeps the main invitation clean while giving out-of-town guests everything they need in one envelope.
- Ceremony Programs
A printed order of service for the ceremony — names of the wedding party, readings, music, and timeline. Saddle-stitched booklets or single-fold cards. Guests keep these, so they're worth doing well.
- Envelope Printing & Addressing
Outer envelopes printed with your return address and digitally addressed with each guest's name and mailing address. Eliminates handwriting 150 envelopes — send us your guest list and we handle it.
Print Styles & Finishes
Your invitation sets the tone for the wedding. The paper and print method matter. Here’s what we offer.
Flat Digital Print
Most AffordableFull-color inkjet or laser printing on premium paper stock. Clean, crisp, and consistent across every card. The best option for couples who want a polished look without a luxury budget. Works beautifully on thick matte or linen cardstock.
Digital Foil Accents
PopularGold, silver, rose gold, or copper foil applied to specific elements — names, borders, flourishes — over a flat-printed card. The foil catches light and adds a premium feel at a fraction of the cost of traditional foil stamping.
Letterpress-Style Impression
Textured LookDeep-impression printing that creates a tactile, debossed look on thick cotton or felt paper. The look of traditional letterpress at a more accessible price point. Popular for classic, timeless invitation styles.
Premium Cardstock Flat Print
Best Value Premium130 lb or heavier cardstock — substantially heavier than a standard greeting card — printed in full color. The weight and paper quality alone convey formality. Good choice for couples who want quality without specialty techniques.
How Invitation Printing Works
- 1
Share Your Vision and Guest Count
Tell us what pieces you need, your approximate guest count, your wedding date, and your style preference. If you have a design already, great — send the files. If you need help designing, we can work from a brief. Either way, start by getting in touch so we can hold a production slot for your timeline.
- 2
Design, Proof, and Approve
We produce a digital proof of every piece in the suite before printing. You review every word, name spelling, date, and time. We do not go to press until you give written approval. This is the step that prevents errors — take your time with it.
- 3
Print, Assemble, and Pick Up
All suite components are printed and quality-checked as a set. Envelopes are printed with your return address and addressed if you provided a guest list. Everything is packaged together for pickup at our Homewood location. You walk out with a box ready to assemble and mail.
Frequently Asked Questions
- How far in advance should I order wedding invitations?
- Wedding invitations are typically mailed 6–8 weeks before the wedding date. That means you want them in hand at least 8–10 weeks out to allow time to address, assemble, and mail. Allow 3–4 weeks for design, proofing, and printing. So from your order date to your mail date: plan for 4–5 weeks minimum. For peak wedding season (April–June, September–October), add a buffer — our production slots fill up in those months.
- Can you design our invitations as well as print them?
- Yes — we offer design services for wedding invitation suites. If you have a vision (color palette, style, wording) but don't have a designer, we can produce your suite from a brief. If you already have a design or are working with a graphic designer, send us a print-ready PDF and we'll go straight to production. Either path works.
- What cardstock do you recommend for wedding invitations?
- 100 lb cover stock is the standard for most flat-print invitations — it feels substantial and prints beautifully. For a premium feel, 130 lb or heavier (sometimes called "ultra-thick" or double-thick) makes a noticeable difference in hand. Cotton or linen paper stocks add texture for couples going for a traditional or rustic aesthetic. If you're adding foil accents, we'll recommend the stock that works best with the foil application.
- What is the minimum order quantity for wedding invitations?
- Our minimum for wedding invitation suites is 25 sets. Most couples order between 75 and 150 sets — the rule of thumb is to order one set per household, not per person. We strongly recommend ordering 10–15% more than your current guest list to account for late additions, keepsakes, and addressing errors.
- Can you print just envelopes, or do I need to order a full suite?
- We can print envelopes only — return address printing on the outer envelope, or digital addressing with your guest list. If you already have your invitations printed elsewhere and just need the envelopes addressed, bring us your envelopes and a spreadsheet of your guest list and we'll handle it.
